Section 1. The Employers covered by this Agreement shall pay annually to all eligible regular drivers a bonus consisting of 3% of qualified wages.

Section 2. For the purpose of Section 1 above, a bonus year shall consist of the fifty-two (52) week period beginning with the twenty-fourth biweekly pay period of the preceding calendar year through the twenty-third biweekly pay period of the calendar year in which the bonus is to be paid in December.

Section 3. To be eligible/qualified for the annual bonus referenced in Section 1 of this Article, a regular driver who, during the bonus year in effect, has been scheduled to work a five (5) or a six (6) shift work week must have worked a minimum of 210 full shifts for his current Employer during that bonus year without a break in service. To be eligible/qualified for the annual bonus referenced in Section 1 of this Article, a regular driver who, during the bonus year in effect, has been scheduled to work only four (4) shifts each work week, must have worked a minimum of 180 full shifts for his current Employer during that bonus year without a break in service, Employees who terminated or are terminated prior to the last payday for the bonus year for which the bonus is to be paid shall not be eligible for the annual bonus to be paid on that payday.

A regular employee who has not worked the applicable required minimum of 210 full shifts or 180 full shifts referenced above for his current Employer in a bonus year shall not be entitled to and shall receive no annual bonus (prorated or otherwise) for that bonus year. Normal workdays of an employee spent on paid vacation time off or on union business as provided by this Agreement will count toward the 210 full shifts or toward the 180 full shifts, if applicable, referenced above, required to qualify or be eligible for an annual bonus for that bonus year

Section 4 No provisions of this Article shall be construed to require that any of the Employers covered by this Agreement establish and/or schedule any four (4) shift work weeks,

Section 5. Qualified wages are all gross wages paid to the eligible regular driver by his Employer (regardless of when earned) for the bonus year Qualified wages shall not include vacation pay or bonus payment received during the bonus year.

Section 6. The annual bonuses referenced above shall be paid not later than the last regular payday in December preceding December 25th after the close of the bonus year
