The November 2005 pda meeting is shown here.

Hello and welcome to the PDA portion of this website. This is going to be where the PDA president is going to try to explain exactly what the PDA is all about and what they can and will do for us all as drivers. The PDA (from my understanding) is going to be an entity that is going to assist drivers who are brutally attacked in the line of duty and can no longer provide for themselves or their families. During this time the PDA is going to give funding to assist the families of the injured/slain drivers so they can get back on their feet. We have all seen in the past that drivers like Sunny Kin (we raised over 2400.00 for Sunny) and Chip (who was killed) we raised over 25.000.00 for his family. Now of course this does not repair or replace the loss of these families but it may just ease the pain a little and I think that is what the PDA is all about. I also recieved this letter from Greg Bambic from original PDA president Sven J. Nilsson. He sent Greg this synopsis about himself and we feel this needs to be read. It helps others to kow where you come from, because when they know where you come from they may just get some idea about what direction they are going.

Read Sven J. Nilsson's syopsis here.

Download the PDA membership application here.

The PDA is NOT going to replace the Union, and will urge all members to become Union members also to help protect their jobs ever further. I am going to ask Greg Bambic to put a statement up here to further explain the PDA and how it will benefit you personally as a driver. In my opinion I would consider the PDA a little insurance against the ravages of this job. We must remember we are working in one of the most dangerous jobs in the country and WE need to protect ourselves not only when we are at work, but also in the case of emergency.

Please join the Union & the PDA if you see fit. The PDA is only $12.00 a year and below are some of the laid out benefits of the PDA.

Hello this is Greg Bambic (with a C)

This is how we are going to help a cab driver that gets killed or hurt by the Bad Guys! We will have the following benevolent distributions to help him and his family: In case of death of a working driver due to criminal violence...

1. Without dependents, $10,000 or 50% of funds on hand, whichever is less?

2.      With dependent/s, $20,000 or 50% of funds on hand, whichever is less?

In case of serious injury of a working driver due to criminal violence, the distribution will be:

1. $500 to 10,000, or 50% of funds on hand, whichever is less.

2. If a driver is disabled for life. $5000 to 10,000, or 50% of funds on hand, whichever is less. If we need to we can have fund raisers and do what ever we need to legally to help the cabdrivers of Las Vegas.

      Individual memberships are $12.00 yearly.
